São Luiz Estate Coffee Farm
São Luiz Estate Coffee was the 5th stop on our Trip to Origin 2025. Located in Carmo do Paranaíba, within the noble terroir of the renowned Cerrado Mineiro region, the farm offered us a unique experience: getting to know its origins up close and discovering distinctive coffees with characteristics that cannot be found anywhere else.
During our visit, we had a complete overview of the production environment, explored the post-harvest processes, and concluded the experience with a cupping session featuring the farm’s finest coffees.
Its history spans generations. It began nearly 100 years ago with Miguel Veloso, and this legacy has been revived and carried forward for over five decades in coffee farming by his successors: his grandson, Fausto do Espírito Santo Velloso, and his children, Lúcio and Ana Cecília.

The estate features 30,000 square meters of drying patios with monitoring and traceability systems, allowing each lot to reach its best possible results. The drying process is technically supervised by a highly skilled team, ensuring excellence in every coffee produced.

Coffees with true identity are the result of the combination of climate, soil, topography, altitude, and the know-how of the people behind them. Traceability is guaranteed by the Cerrado Mineiro Origin and Quality Seal, which certifies both the origin and quality of the coffees.
