An Agronomist, he started coffee production 20 years ago, his family has been in coffee farming for four generations. Fazenda Taquaral has 200ha of coffee and its production is rainfed, in areas with soils and climates suitable for coffee farming. The coffee drying is done intermittently in dryers, and during the night, the grains are covered to keep them at a higher temperature. The farm uses brachiaria grass in between the rows, conserves moisture in between the coffee rows, preserves the legal reserve and permanent preservation areas, protects springs. The biggest challenges nowadays are the climate, labor, and the large price fluctuations. Our coffee is a product obtained through the use of sustainable practices, taking into account the knowledge gained by our family over all these years.
